What are Rippers?

Rippers are an attachment that can be fitted to an excavator, they are then used for breaking up hard grounds and surfaces, as well as rocks and difficult areas that can’t be broken initially with an excavator bucket.

Why would you use Rippers?

Rippers are used pre-excavation. They are great for ripping up solid grounds to make it easier for excavator buckets to pass through the material. They are also great for digging up and removing tree stumps and roots. Simply dig the attachment in and around the tree stump to break any roots, you will then be able to go in using a different excavator attachment to finally remove the tree stump, the ground is then ready to be reused for any construction work. They are also great digger attachments to use on demolition sites.

The advantages of using rippers:

• It cuts down the amount of stress put on excavator buckets if the ground has not been broken up.
• The amount of use you get out of your excavator buckets will increase. When using rippers, the wear and tear of construction machinery and excavator buckets is minimal, as you aren’t putting strain on them trying to dig a solid ground or surface.
