With a dash of imagination and MB Crusher units, everything can be recycled and reused, even the most “unconventional” materials.
Recycling, we know, is the best option available to us to reduce pollution, save raw materials and protect the environment. Often, however, to the question “can it be recycled?” The answer is NO! A flat NO, often dictated by a bit of negligence and lack of ingenuity. But disposing of waste material in landfills is not always cost effective, besides doing harm to the environment.
So, let’s use our imagination and creativity and recycle even” odd” materials! As our clients know, MB Crusher units make this task easier by recycling and earning a profit in the process. Here are the stories of some customers who have managed to give a second life to even the most unthinkable materials. Hoping that these testimonies can inspire those who still do not believe that, in one way or another, everything can be repurposed.
PORCELAIN BATHTUBS
Imagine a car dealership showroom, with all shiny new cars parked in a row. Now replace them with tubs. Yes, porcelain tubs, the ones you use for a nice relaxing bath. The client in question specialises in demolition and recovery services. By installing an MB-HDS323 padding bucket on a Hitachi Zaxis 240 excavator, they were able to recycle and reuse hundreds of faulty porcelain bathtubs. The MB Crusher padding bucket was fitted with a RM mixer kit, and by reducing the volume of the material, the customer saved on the number of hauling trips to the nearby recycling facility.
FOUNDRY SLAGS
In for a slightly messier job! The MB-HDS314 padding bucket mounted on an ATLAS 220 W excavator, is not processing porcelain but foundry slags. The goal remains the same: to recycle and increase revenue! As MB Crusher units have a wide range of exchangeable shaft kits, each unit provides huge flexibility; in this case, the MB-HDS314 is processing synthesized slag and steel casting scraps. By separating the aggregates from the ferrous residues, the steel is then sold to steel mills, while the aggregate is sold to companies that deal with road paving or asphalt production. One machine transformed byproduct into valuable material.
GENERAL WASTE CONTAINERS
General waste is common, but how it is handled is what makes a difference.
The company we are referring to offers general waste roll-off services: this results in a lot of different material that needs to be divided, to be then repurposed. How do they sort each pile of material they receive? The right tool for the job is made with a real Hardox armour! We are talking about the MB-G450 sorting grapple. The MB Crusher hydraulic grapple is so versatile that it can handle any work condition, 365 days out of 365, working uninterruptedly. It is agile, fast and it is ultimately a precision tool that can grasp even small materials, such as plastic pieces. And let’s not forget that thanks to its size it can adapt to work in confined areas as well.
Hopefully, we have proven that saying YES to recycling is easy, not only in theory but in practise too! With just a hint of imagination, creativity and a few MB Crusher units, you can find practical solutions to recover waste material and transform it into economic value and environmental sustainability. If you have any ideas or want to tell us how you use your MB Crusher units, do not hesitate to send them to us!
